Woodlands Court is a care home for the Elderly. The home provides care to those who are less able for whatever reason and so need a little extra help to manage the daily routines of life.
We do not provide Nursing Care.
Dining matters
Breakfast . . Usually served from 7am in the dining room or in the residents room
Lunch Time . . Usually served in the dining room between 12.00 and 12.30
Tea Time . . . Usually served in the dining room at about 5.00pm
Tea and coffee is served throughout the day and on request.
We use a 3 week rolling menu to ensure variety and can cater for certain dietary requirements (eg for Vegetarian and diabetics). Please consult if you have specific needs.
Medical needs
Several of our residents are registered with a local GP who visits regularly as required. You can also register there or keep your existing GP if you would prefer.
Other medical practioners are arranged or can be arranged on request (eg Dentist, Optician, District Nurse, Physiotherapist, Chiropodist) The cost, if any, is not included in our fee.
A hairdresser visits once or twice a week.
A general telephone line is provided and you can get a line added to your room if so required.
We wash and clean residents clothes and can arrange dry cleaning but the latter is an added expense.
Cultural and Religious needs can be provided but please consult if you have any specific needs.
There are reading and TV areas which are always available and we try to provide some external entertainment periodically.
